Keough Half Saddle Number #1 Grade – Grizzly Yellow
Keough Half Saddle Number #1 Grade – Grizzly Yellow
The Keough Half Saddle Number #1 Grade in Grizzly are a great way to get yourself loads of dry fly feathers in a range of sizes. Of course, the natural grizzly hackle is probably the most used colour in dry fly patterns, but there are plenty of options for great looking flies with dyed grizzly colours as offered with these saddles. These dry fly half saddles offer a bigger range of feather sizes to most genetic saddles. You get a lot of feathers around the #10 – #14 size range. But, there’s also smaller and larger feathers in these saddles as well. The Keough Grizzly Half Saddle in the Number #1 Grade doesn’t offer as many feathers as the full Number #1 Grade saddle, obviously, but is more economical.
Keough Hackles was founded by the man himself, Bill Keough. He personally oversees all the operations at Keough Hackle in Mendon, MI. There they produce top quality genetic hackle. To quote Bill himself, you’ll “tie better flies with Keough brand feathers”. We have chosen to add the Keough saddle and cape range of saddles and capes to our regular stock holding at Troutlore as we believe these to be excellent quality dry fly feathers at a sharper price than similar products on the market.
Of course, if you want to create all sorts of natural looking streamer fly patterns, then our ever growing range of natural hairs and furs is the ideal place to start for something different to the synthetic option. Don’t just settle on looking in the Hare & Rabbit category when you’re chasing quality winging and body furs, check out the Specialty Species Category of the Troutlore Flytying Store as well. Plus, we keep a great selection of Calf and Bucktail as well, in a big range of colours to take care of your freshwater and saltwater flytying needs. If you can’t find a product you are specifically looking for, get in touch and we will see if it can be sourced, and kept in stock. Plus, you can keep up to date with new releases through our newsletter and social media outlets.
