Come and experience a day on the streams with Rob Gee from the Troutlore fly tying store. Having guided part time this past decade, Rob has grown fond of sharing time on the water with clients, helping them improve their trout fishing and sharing some of his favourite streams.
I'll work with your to improve your casting and presentation for trout. Reading the water, understanding the insect life and the flies to match, as well as managing your drift to get a better presentation. It's my aim to not only give you a great day out on the water, but to have you fishing better and more confidently the next time you're out on your own.

Use your own rod and reel, if appropriate to the waters we'll fish, or we can supply a rig that is up to the task of delicate presentations and a fast fight. All flies and terminal tackle are supplied, but you're welcome to bring your own and we'll work to get your a fish on your own hand tied flies too.

Once a day trip has been purchased through the website, we will get in touch to organise dates and locations that best suit your fishing needs. I offer guiding fishing for trout in the Goulburn Valley and it's tributary streams. So, there are a myriad of options within around an hour and a half drive from Melbourne.

Locations further north can also be arranged for those wanting to fish the rivers on the other side of Eildon, right through to the King, Buckland, Buffalo, and Ovens valleys. 

Depending on location, and travel, we generally aim to be on the water around 9am and finish up around 5pm, depending on the time of year and light conditions. This can be adjusted to suit your needs, and extended if an evening rise is an option. Lunch, snacks and drinks are provided for all anglers on the day.

Please feel free to get in touch if you wish to tailor a specific package to suit your needs. All guided trips are subject to weather conditions, and fish activity. We will work with you before the date to ensure the best day out on the water for the time of year, and the current conditions.
