Why not try something different, a day on the water sight fishing for big carp! It's a totally new experience to many, and some of the most engaging fishing that you can find inland in Australia.

PLEASE NOTE : HALF DAY OPTIONS ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR WARANGA BASIN (near Rushworth) OR CAIRN CURRAN RESERVOIR (near Maldon) ONLY 

We work with your to improve casting and presentation for these fish. It's a very different approach than fishing for trout, and we will go through all the elements in detail to ensure you are able to catch these fish on your own. From fly selection and presentation, to fish behaviour and feeding habits, along with stalking, and fighting the fish. It's all about learning a new way to enjoy flyfishing, whilst targeting a different species.
Use your own rod and reel, if appropriate, or we can supply a rig that is up to the task of delicate presentations and a rugged fight.

Once a half day trip has been purchased through the website, we will get in touch to confirm dates and locations that best suit your fishing needs. Sight fishing for carp is generally offered from September through to April, depending on seasonal conditions.

Carp Day Half Trips are usually run from 9am-1pm to take advantage of the best hours of the limited light window, so you et the best light for a better quality of visual fishing. We generally aim to be on the water around 9am, although we can discuss before the day to account for conditions depending on the time of year. Drinks are provided on a half day, although we recommend you pack a lunch if you intend on staying on to fish through the afternoon. There's a good chance Rob will be out on the water afterwards, so you'll have some friendly competition!
