Why not try something different, a day on the water sight fishing for big carp! It's a totally new experience to man, and some of the most engaging fishing that you can find inland in Australia.
After several years of experimenting with multi-client carp trips, we have found it really only works in the client's best interest to have one guide per client. The nature of stalking fish at close range does not lend itself to bigger groups, but we still want you to have the chance to out-fish a mate on the water. So, we are pleased to announce that Duo Day Trips are now available for two anglers with two guides. Myself and Ben from Ozzy Native Flies will team up with the two of you and not only teach you all you need to know, but we will get a little friendly competition fired up. Don't worry, sledging is also included in the skills that we teach our on the water! 
These duo day trips are limited to the availability of two guides, but with a few weeks notice, it usually isn't a problem. So, book early!
We work with your to improve casting and presentation for these fish. It's a very different approach than fishing for trout, and we will go through all the elements in detail to ensure you are able to catch these fish on your own. From fly selection and presentation, to fish behaviour and feeding habits, along with stalking, and fighting the fish. It's all about learning a new way to enjoy flyfishing, whilst targeting a different species.
Use your own rod and reel, if appropriate, or we can supply a rig that is up to the task of delicate presentations and a rugged fight.

Once a day trip has been purchased through the website, we will get in touch to organise dates and locations that best suit your fishing needs. Sight fishing for carp is generally offered from September through to April, depending on seasonal conditions. We offer a range of locations that average between 1 and 2 hours drive from Melbourne. With small creek fishing in summer, and lake fishing the whole season, there's a new experience sight fishing for carp awaiting you!

Carp Day Trips are slightly shorter than Trout Day Trips as we are limited to a light window that allows for a better quality of visual fishing. We generally aim to be on the water around 9am and finish up around 3pm, depending on the time of year and light conditions. Lunch, snacks and drinks are provided for all anglers on the day.

We will work with you before the date to ensure the best day out on the water for the time of year, and the current conditions.
