FTD Mr Peacock Dubbing
FTD Mr Peacock Dubbing
FTD Mr Peacock dubbing is made to imitate peacock from a 6 color ‘Peacock’ base. Various colors are added to offer a wide range of Peacock colors for the tyer to choose from. This really looks like peacock and makes a great nymph dubbing to small and large patterns.
It has a very soft texture with medium length fibers that makes it very easy to work with. Great for nymph bodies, dry fly thoraxes and even very usable on larger streamers around teh hook shank or as part of a dubbing build-up forming a head on the fly.
Remember, the colours are not quite what you might expect as this dubbinng has a blended base that makes it somewhat like a peacock hurl colour to begin with, so you get a very natural, dark dubbing blend that is quite unique.
FTD offer dubbings for every fly tying and fly fishing scenario… dubbings for tiny & large dry flies, wet flies, small and large nymphs, streamers from saltwater to small baitfish, crab and crawfish dubbings, Woolly Bugger dubbing, bass bugs and more! FTDs unique line of dubbings are made exclusively at FTD and are now available in Australia through Troutlore.
We love dubbing
At Troutlore we have a love for dubbing. Yes, little bags of fluff and synthetic, that’s the stuff. We just love it. That is why we are always adding to our range of dubbing that we offer to Australian fly tiers. We believe that we have the largest range of dubbing and dubbing brushes available in Australia. There are so many colours and varieties, you should always be able to find the right dub for your bug.
Of course, if you want to create all sorts of natural looking streamer fly patterns, then our ever growing range of natural hairs and furs is the ideal place to start for something different to the synthetic option. Don’t just settle on looking in the Hare & Rabbit category when you’re chasing quality winging and body furs, check out the Specialty Species Category of the Troutlore Flytying Store as well. Plus, we keep a great selection of Calf and Bucktail as well, in a big range of colours to take care of your freshwater and saltwater flytying needs.
