This was made up due to its very high floatability qualities.  You can tie a Big Bopper Dry fly similar to the Sand Crab but without the heavy dumbbell eyes and boy does it float and works great as an attractor type fly.
Trout, bass, pike, steelhead, Alaska patterns, Mouse etc. There is a huge range of possibilities for this buggy dubbing.
