Embossed Pearl Flashback Hareline Dubbin

Little has been written about the mythical sheet of embossed pearl flachback from Hareline Dubbin. Most go so far as to say “EF” and leave it at that. Hareline themselves leave the description blank on their site and we can only surmise that this is purely for the simple fact that a product so useful, so powerful and so impressive needs no description nor introduction at all. Maybe.

One sheet of embossed pearl flashback material that can be cut into strips and used to add extra glitter to your nymphs, beetles and scuds. The uneven surface allows light to be caught from all angles, so it works great in a thin strip along the wing case, covered in head cement of fly finish. The sheet is a few inches wide and about three times that in length. I just guessed this, but the one that has been on my tying desk is now two years old and still going strong. You don’t need much to get plenty of flash!
