Danville Fine Wire

Danville Fine Wire is available in gold and silver colors to add a little sparkle to your flies. However, being so fine, it is a good choice for flies where the wire must not be too visible. Plus, it is perfect for nymph and dry ribbing on flies that are smaller than size #16. It’s a great midge ribbing option for those little flies that want the colour, but not the bulk.

Using wire will make fly more durable. It helps to hold materials in place and stops wrapped feathers coming undone when a fish gets its teeth into your fly. That little wrap of wire can mean the difference between a fly lasting one fish and twenty.

Best of all, Danville Fine Wire will not add too much weight to the fly. With this in mind, it is an ideal solution for ribbing and strengthening dry flies.
