The Ahrex TP650 Trout Predator 26 Degree Bent Streamer Hooks is designed specifically with articulated streamer patterns like Drunk and Disorderly and Sid’s in mind where an angled ”wedge” deer hair head create a big fish magnet type of action. Large hook gap to accommodate bigger heads. Strong wire. This hook flipped upside down with dumbbell eyes or a sculpin helmet does a great job as jig style pattern.

Ahrex Hooks have their roots in the Scandinavian fly-fishing tradition. Anglers and the waters they fish in inspire Ahrex to create the best hooks possible. Ahrex Hooks are made without compromise – designed by Scandinavian fly-fishermen for fishing all over the world. We use innovative technology and the best materials available for each specific hook.

Troutlore is proud to have been the first store in Australia to offer the Ahrex Hooks range to Australian fly tyers. Right from their humble beginnings with the original release of their Nordic Salt range. This has since grown to a much wider offering of saltwater and freshwater hooks, which we continue to sell, because we believe in the strength, quality and design of these hooks.

Of course, if you want to create all sorts of natural looking streamer fly patterns, then our ever growing range of natural hairs and furs is the ideal place to start for something different to the synthetic option. Don’t just settle on looking in the Hare & Rabbit category when you’re chasing quality winging and body furs, check out the Specialty Species Category of the Troutlore Flytying Store as well. Plus, we keep a great selection of Calf and Bucktail as well, in a big range of colours to take care of your freshwater and saltwater flytying needs. If you can’t find a product you are specifically looking for, get in touch and we will see if it can be sourced, and kept in stock. Plus, you can keep up to date with new releases through our newsletter and social media outlets.
