Wapsi UTC Ultra wire is a non-tarnishing copper based wire used for ribbing, weight, flash, dubbing brush wire and as a body component on nymph and streamer patterns.  It is the essential material needed for tying John Barr’s famous Copper John Nymph. Made in the USA, it is a light gauge, non-tarnishing wire used in fly tying in a 12 yd spool.

The standard copper wire ribbing material to provide durability, a touch of shine, and a little color to your flies. The small size is best for flies size 16 and smaller or for tight wraps buried into the material on larger patterns. Plus, it works well for dry flies when you need a flashy wire wrap without too much weight added to your pattern.
