Description

The Prince Nymph is a classic fly, designed originally to imitate a stonefly nymph, but it does equally well when there are mayflies about too. This has always been the ‘donut saver’ for myself, when the fishing is tough on small streams with low water levels, the Prince Nymph is the fly that comes through and gets the eat when everything else has failed.

Eugene ties his variation with a partridge, or speckled soft hackle collar, rather than the traditional brown cock hackle, and the results are just as good. Tied with brass bead head for adequate weight for fishing shallower waters.

Supplied in lots of six (6) flies per hook size.

Of course, if you want to tie this pattern yourself, Troutlore offers all the quality materials for this pattern.

Vagabond Flies are tied by Eugene O’Dell, who’s lived and fished all around Australia of the years, yet is now located in New South Wales. His patterns have been put to the test over the years and refined to work with the best materials available and to better perform in Australian conditions. This Prince Nymph pattern is tied on quality hooks and using the best materials, this is a great addition to any fly box for all times of the the stream season.
