The Ozzy Native Flies Cod Snack just went barbless, with the new Firehole Outdoors Predator Series Hooks. This is a subsurface searching pattern that is ideally fished when light conditions aren’t conducive to surface strikes. The weed guard allows it to be cast in snags where Murray Cod and Yellow Belly live and hunt their food without catching a snag every cast.

The Cod Snack is currently available in Murray Cray, White, Chartreuse and Purple  options. Supplied as one single fly, tied on a size 6/0 Firehole Predator series hook. These barbless options are ideal for big cod strikes with an even easier hook set on the take as well as reduced catching on logs as the fly is dragged over them due to the slight upturn in the hook point.
The Murray Cray variation has trimmed tail feathers that imitate the claws of a a fleeing freshwater crayfish. This has proven itself to be very effective in recent months.
