Description
The Never Sink Caddis gets it’s name from the fact that is floats, like cork, and will never sink. Well. in theory anyway. The foam underwing and full hackle does give this fly an incredible ability to stay on top of the water’s surface. With this in mind, it works great when skittered across the riffles or drifted through pocket waters. Able to take a dropper off the bottom, or simply fished as a dry, this pattern has a good profile and a vibrant colour to get the attention of willing fish. This is a favourite fly for those late summer afternoons on small streams with plenty of willows housing caddis adults. Tied on barbless Firehole hooks, these are not only sharp, but enable the hook-set swiftly and easily after the take for a solid hookup more often.
Now sold as single units per hook size. Buy as few or as many as you like!
Of course, if you want to tie this pattern yourself, Troutlore offers a complete materials kit for this pattern. You can find the ‘TieYourOwn’ kit for Neversink Caddis here.
