The team at Nature’s Spirit travel both Montana and Idaho each year selecting hides of the finest quality for fly tying purposes.  Their cow elk hair is a premium product and is perhaps the best all around fly tying hair.
This flank hair is graded for straightness, with short to medium tips and texture that allows for compression yet maintains shape.
Perfect to use on the larger patterns like Stimulators, Hoppers & October Caddis. Cow elk hair is also great for creating durable tails for dry flies as it’s easier to use and more durable than traditional feathers.
