MayFly True Tails are treated with Water Shed, have a finer point, softer feel and come dyed on a solid white base color. This solid white look makes all the colors come alive and be more prominent so fish can see them better.

This process makes the mayfly True Tails look opaque.  You’ll get a lot of tail fibers versus other brands…which is a better value for your “fly tying dollar”.

These are the preferred tailing material for No Hackles and Comparaduns.  The natural tapered tips make excellent insect tails, legs, feelers, mayfly spinners and thorax patterns.

They’re the most realistic and durable mayfly tailing material on the market…much more durable than feathers and hair.
