These are only kept in limited numbers in bulk boxes of 100 hooks. They represent great value for money as a large hook like this usually comes in small quantity packs. Those of you who have tied with Kamasan hooks before, most likely for your trout flies, will know how well made they are. Super sharp Japanese steel that is exceptionally strong. Snag a rock on the bottom of the stream and a Kamasan hook will likely go into it, and lift it off the stream bed without straightening. I’ve done this before on size #16 B175 hooks. Size it up to these B940 Aberdeen hooks and you can be confident with their strength in tackling big Australia native species. The long shank allows plenty of space to tie in multiple materials and build up the shape and profile you want from your native pattern. Then it’s just a matter of fishing them, with confidence.
