Hareline Lead Free Wire is the eco-friendly way to depth charge flies.
This Round Lead Free Wire is a non-toxic fly tying material that’s used for adding extra weight to flies. It is very soft and easy to work with. The wire’s soft formula and round design lets it wrap easily and lay uniformly on the hook and so is an excellent substitute for lead. It can be crushed down on the hook shank with pliers to create a flatter body profile, just as can be done with lead wire.

.015 for #18 & #14 hooks.
.025 for #10 & #14 hooks.
.035 for #10 & bigger hooks.
