Deer Creek Competition Gel Core Fritz 15mm is a purpose designed product for fly tying need. This is not some second rate material repurposed from the textile trade. With Gel Core fritz they addressed key problems with the vast majority of fritz, that being that the core doesn’t accept dye and the material falls apart when tying. Deer Creek Gel Core Fritz has an impregnated gel, which binds the fibres into the core. This means, as well as looking great on the fly, there is no fibre loss and it will never fall apart when tying!! The material is all professionally dyed using state of the art pressure dyeing machines which are computer controlled to ensure 100% colour consistency and intensity.

The colour range on offer from Deer Creek is specifically selected for the Competition market and offers variations on popular colours that can be applied to all manner of fly tying applications. Gel Core Fritz 15mm offers plenty of movement on the hook shank with the length of fibres balanced out against the thickness. This creates excellent body wrapping, as well as collars. It’s not just UV Resin that Deer Creek offer, with an expanded range of fly tying materials as well.
