Description

The Crickroach is a fly that Joe has been tying for years now, developed as a bass surface fly from an old set of foam cutters, the origins of which he holds as a close secret. Much tinkering over the years has seen the body and leg materials changed until a final product was found to be one that the tyer was happy with. It too, is a fly that the bass are happy with. That said, there is no reason why it couldn’t be fished to large trout or bream when cicadas are on the go, or to get some attention from smaller sized Cod. It makes a great plop when it hits the water, and offers plenty of movement as it is stripped and paused with the legs kicking ripples out to the sides.

Now sold as single units per hook size. Buy as few or as many as you like!

Of course, if you want to tie this pattern yourself, Troutlore offers all the quality materials for this pattern.

Joe’s Flies are tied by Joe Manzano, located in New South Wales.
