With the new year comes new hopes, new goals and new resolutions. Well, we decided not to do any of that again, and just keep bringing you more quality fly tying materials day in and day out for yet another year.
And this year, along with a range of new tying products that will be arriving throughout the year, we are expanding our range of pre-tied flies. Since I began Troutlore, we have have always offered a range of hand tired, Australian made flies for those of you who don’t have the time or the inclination to tie your own. We have a select few fly tyers supplying hand tied flies for sale on the Troutlore website, and in 2023 we are welcoming some new names to the stable. That said, they’re not new to the tying game, these guys have been tying quality flies for longer that Prince Harry has been in the rampage. So we are glad to have them on board.
So let me introduce you Joe Manzano of Joe’s Flies. He’s located up new Wollongong in New South Wales and has been a passionate fly fisher and fly tyer long enough for his wife have it in for me. Joe brings a wealth of knowledge to his tying, wit flies that not only target trout, but bass and cod too. Known for his penchant for the old foam fly, Joe still manages to tie a sweet bug with natural materials too. And, he’s not to shabby on the water either, able to sledge with the best of them when it goes wrong for the other guy.
You can find a selection of Joe’s Flies in the newly reconfigured Flies & Tying Kits menu on the Troutlore Flytying Store website now. TieYourOwn, or, if you don’t have the time, buy quality PreTied flies instead
