Hedron Big Fly Fiber Curled is a popular variation to their straight lightweight fiber. Perfect for large body flies with long tails in an extremely light, easy-to-cast fiber. Contains approximately 6 grams of fibers, 10″ in length.

Big Fly Fiber is great for large flies. Especially for pike flies, cod flies and a range of saltwater patterns. It is long and makes it possible to tie very large flies. The structure of the material causes the flies get a good hover effect in the water – and it gets flies to move from side to side All in all, a phenomenal material for all large flies. This is hands down “The bomb” when it comes to pike flytying.

This material is able to pair with a very wide variety of other materials. Hedron Big Fly Fiber Curled absorbs little to no water and is usually free of water after the first false cast, making your big patterns much easier to cast. Compared to the very popular Flashabou, the Hedron Big Fly Fiber produces a 3D color effect and offers a great color spectrum due to the mixed fibers. The curled version has more bulk at the start of the strand with a curly waver in the fiber before it straightens out down the length.

Hedron products are used for dressing flies, jigs and spinnerbaits. Perfect for wings, tails, ribbing and bodies. Use as an accent underwing on any hairwing steelhead/salmon pattern.  Used on many steelhead and (what seems like all) Alaska patterns. And great for all number of saltwater patterns and big Australian native fly patterns too.
