Description
Tiewell Antron Yarn is composed of multiple, linear, Trilobal shaped Antron filaments which give the product a great light reflection. It is because of the nature of the product that this material is very popular for tying caddis pupa patterns and is great for spinner wings on dry flies and trailing shucks on emerger patterns.
Antron yarn is the materials that Gary LaFontaine used for his caddis larva and pupa! He swore that it had to be Antron, because it trapped air bubbles with it’s trilobal fibers. It’s for this reason that antron yarn is i=used widely in a range of caddis nymph and emerger patterns as wing cases, body materials and tail fibers. It also captures the light perfectly in spent spinner wings that need to ride just in the surface film.
Tiewell Antron Yarn is available in a number of natural colours for use on your nymphs, emergers and dry fly patterns.
