Many of your have been using Blane Chocklett’s Articulated Fish Spine shanks for some time now, and with a recent focus on tying smaller Gamechangers, it great to see Flymen Fishing Co coming to the party with the Fish-Skull Chocklett’s Articulated Micro Spine for just such an occasion.
The Articulated Micro Spine is available in two sizes, being 6mm and 8mm along with a separate tail shank, for finishing off the rear end of your perfectly swimming flies. We also have a starter pack available that features a pack of all three shanks, so you can tie plenty of micro Gamechangers, or mix them with larger articulated shanks for medium sized baitfish patterns.
Created in partnership with renowned fly tyer and fishing guide Blane Chocklett, the new Chocklett’s Articulated Micro-Spine allows fly tyers to take the Game Changer style of fly tying to completely new territory. Tie realistic micro flies with true-to-life movement and take your trout and small fly fishing to the next level with Chocklett’s™ Articulated Micro-Spine.
We have seen a lot of Australian fly tyers taking to the Flymen Fishing Co’s range of Fish-Skull streamer tying materials in the last few years, especially with their new innovations that continue to reset the mold for how a fly should be tied. Products like their Faux Bucktail and Nymph Head tungsten weights have changed the way many of us approach our fly tying techniques. The Articulated Micro Spine is another one of those products. The previous shank designs released by Flymen Fishin Co in a design partnership with Blane Chocklett and Greg Senyo have proven to be a real hit down under, so there is no doubt that these will follow suit. In fact, before we even made the announcement of the product’s arrival, we have seen them starting to move off the shelves, with word of mouth already creating a demand.
You can now find Chocklett’s Articulated Micro Spines, along with a full range of Flymen shanks available for purchase in Australia right here!
