Well, that time of year has come around again where all the good folk of the Apple Isle get to go fishing for trout and us miserable buggers on the mainland just watch on in jealousy through various social media platforms. Of course, we could stop complaining and get on the less than an hour flight it takes to pop down to Tasmania, or we can stay home and continue restocking our fly boxes in anticipation of our own trout opening weekends.

With this in mind, as the first pictures of fish start to appear from Tasmania on my social feeds, I thought it only prudent to have a distinctive Tasmanian flavour to this month’s giveaway. So, we are offering one lucky Australian fly tyer a neat little prize pack that includes the complete range of dubbings from The Lost Fly, home grown Tasmanian fly tying materials.

These quality dubbings are lovingly prepared by Brent Bowerman at The Lost Fly and offer a range of uses from dry fly applications through to streamers and wets. There are seven colours of Brent’s Translucent Sparkle Dub in the range and one on offer in Brent’s own special Claret Blend nymph dubbing. Of course, all these varieties are available all day, every day from the Troutlore site, but one complete set is going to be up for grabs at the end of the giveaway period.
